Lois Caroline Donaldson

Lois Caroline Donaldson, born on April 24, 1928, in Pontiac, Michigan, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2026, in Waterford, Michigan. She was 97 years old.

Lois lived a long and meaningful life rooted in faith, family, and friendship. A lifelong resident of Waterford, she was a devoted member of the First Presbyterian Church of Pontiac for most of her life. She was known as a dedicated Presbyterian woman who gave generously of her time and spirit.

She shared 54 joyful years with her loving husband, Jere Donaldson, who preceded her in death. Together they raised a family that brought them great pride and joy. Lois was also predeceased by her sons Tim (Gail) Donaldson and Tom (DeeDee) Donaldson; her daughter Lori (Dale) Wheeler; and her brothers Robert Rood and Gerald Rood.

Lois's legacy lives on through the many members of her cherished family. She is remembered with affection by her grandchildren Kristin (Jeff) Pitser, Erik Donaldson, Paul Jenvey (Carrie Arnold), Calvin (Tina) Wheeler, Lindsay Donaldson (Levi Hall), Anna Wheeler (Cameron Gabrys), and Jeff Donaldson; great-grandchildren Jared and Lucas Pitser, Remi and Madison Wheeler; and great-great-grandson Ashton.

Throughout her life, Lois found joy in simple pleasures that brought people together. She loved golfing, playing cards with friends, and her daily crosswords or wordle. Above all else, she treasured time spent with her children and grandchildren. Her warmth drew others to her easily, and she was surrounded by many friends and extended family who loved her dearly.

Lois's presence will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege to know her. May her memory bring comfort to those who mourn her passing and inspiration to those who carry forward the values she held dear.

A Visitation will be held on Friday February 6th from 5pm to 7pm at the Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston. A Funeral Service will take place on Saturday February 7th at 10 at the Funeral Home. Family and friends may arrive any time after 9am. Interment Crescent Hills Cemetery, Waterford.
