Loretta Grace Jackson

Loretta Grace Jackson of Clarkston, Michigan passed away peacefully on October 13, 2025. She was 89 years old and preceded in death by her parents Said and Johanna Nasser, and the "Love of her life", husband Herbert J. Lopez and Son Lawrence Frey.

Loretta was born on July 1st , 1936, raised in Detroit, Michigan and was educated in the Detroit public school system. From an early age Loretta proved to be a hard worker and was willing to try almost anything, from being a Jewelry store clerk in Detroit to tending cows in Tooele, Utah, (a real place). Of them all she once said her favorite job was being a telephone operator for the Bell telephone company.

Of all her life adventures Loretta was, first and foremost, a devoted Mother. She treasured her time with her children and always wanted what was best for them. She was reserve and polite with a good sense of humor but not afraid to speak her mind when she thought that was best. She made friendships slowly, but when made, they usually lasted a lifetime.

She was the loving and devoted Mother of Jesse (Marjorie) Lopez, Norman Lopez, Christopher (Lee) Lopez. She was also the grandmother of Christopher Lopez II, Samantha Lopez, Jesse II (Sadie) Lopez, and Joseph Lopez. She was the Great-grandmother of Carmen Lopez. Dear Sister of Rose Beal and Aunt to Edmund (Vicky) Beal and William Beal.

Cremation services have taken place for Loretta.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made towards St. Jude Children's Research Hospital .
