Marilyn Ruth Crawford

Marilyn Ruth Crawford, 95, passed very peacefully Saturday, March 25, 2023 at Clarkston Comfort Care surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Ann Arbor, MI on June 22, 1927 to Elmer and Clara (Moehn) Eisele and lived in Ypsilanti and the surrounding area for her entire life with winters after retirement in Cocoa Beach, Florida.

Marilyn was a great homemaker (best peanut brittle ever!), loving wife and a trailblazing businesswoman. She was incredibly proud of her 35-year career beginning in 1960 at Ypsilanti Savings Bank rising from Teller to Vice President of Human Resources at the Bank before retirement.

She was a frequent volunteer at the Ladies Literary Club in Ypsilanti.

Marilyn had a gift for music with a marvelous voice and as an accomplished pianist and accordion player. She also had a great love for country music, games and Euchre and an enduring passion for all things Detroit Tigers.

She married Verle Crawford on September 26, 1952 and had a son (Mark) and daughter (Tracy).

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Verle in 1997, daughter Tracy (Dennis) in 2020 and her brothers Wesley and Robert Eisele.

She is survived by her son Mark (D'Ann) of Clarkston and granddaughters Alissa and Kelsey. Sister of Dale (Sharon) Eisele. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

There will be a private family graveside service at Arborcrest Cemetery in Ann Arbor.

Memorials may be made to the family favorite charities, Rainbow Connection or Fleece and Thank You , both providing special services to seriously ill children.

Arrangements entrusted to Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston. Please leave a memory or condolence on Marilyn's online guest book below
