Marilyn M. Randall

Marilyn Mildred Randall, of Clarkston, Michigan, passed away peacefully of natural causes on August 17, 2026, at the age of 93.

Born on November 14, 1932, in Milan, Michigan to Allan and Verona Ball, the youngest of three children, Marilyn dedicated her life to education and her family. As a toddler she survived polio, which resulted in a state-sponsored scholarship to Central Michigan University. She graduated from CMU in 1953 with a degree in English and started teaching elementary school in the Milford School District, where she met David R. Randall (1932–2008). They were married in 1957 and shared many happy years of marriage. Marilyn spent most her 30-year professional career in the Clarkston Community School District, where she especially enjoyed teaching children in the Title 1 reading program.

Marilyn is lovingly remembered by her children, Thomas, Mark, and Dana; her grandsons, Matthew and Michael; and her faithful cat, Clark, who brought her companionship and comfort.

During retirement, Marilyn found joy in knitting, following politics, socializing with colleagues from her teaching days, and caring for the many cats that shared her home over the years.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Memorial donations may be made to the Cheboygan County Humane Society.
