Martha Rose Cone Laymac

LAYMAC, Martha Rose Cone; of North Fort Myers, Florida and Clarkston, Michigan; passed away peacefully while surrounded by her family on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at the age of 81. Born on November 11, 1943 in New York, the daughter of the late George Riley and Rebecca Cone;

Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, John; loving Mother of Thomas (Sandra) Laymac, Rhonda (Michael) Allen and Douglas (Chris) Laymac; proud grandmother of Zachary, Alisse, Lucas, Jacob, Ashley and Amber; also survived by great grandson Levi John, many nieces, nephews and extended family. Preceded in death by her parents & brothers: Daniel and Lennox Cone.

On June 23, 1964 in Rochester, New York, Martha married her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, John William Laymac. Martha was a talented hairdresser and started the concept of hair salons at retirement homes; she owned and operated nine  Hair and There salons. She enjoyed traveling, outdoor activities and singing in the church choir.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 25th at 1:00pm at Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston. Family will receive friends Noon until the time of the service.
