Mary Helen Bucacink

BUCACINK, Mary Helen; of Northville; born on November 6, 1928 to Raphael and Mary Roth in Detroit;

passed  away on February 6, 2023 in Novi at the age of 94;

preceded in death by her husband Charles; mother of Victoria (Robert) Shurly, Patricia (James) Baal and John (Lori) Bucacink;

grandmother of Alexander (Kattie) Shurly, Ian (Kate) Bucacink, Lara Gavaldon, Alise (Daniel) Troub, Sara Bucacink, Paige Baal and Jordan Baal;

Great grandmother of Destiny and Magnolia Shurly, Henry and Theodore Gavaldon, Zoey Troub and Brian Bucacink.

Mary was the youngest and last Roth sibling of seven. She was talented at making afghans and knitting; family members treasure the Christmas stockings that she lovingly made for them.  Mary was an avid reader and in her early years was a book binder for the Detroit Public Library as well as a type setter, which taught her to read forwards AND backwards! Most importantly, she loved her family and spending time with each generation.

Funeral Service Sunday, February 12 ^th at 2:00 pm at Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston.

Private interment All Saints Cemetery, Waterford.

No flowers please.
