Mary Jane Fricks

FRICKS, Mary Jane of Clarkston, died peacefully with her family by her side on July 22, 2025. Mary was born in Metz, Michigan, to Harry and Irene Hein on June 1st, 1943. She was raised on The Farm, with her ten brothers and sisters; Connie, Peggy, Robert, Tom, David, Sue, and those who have passed; Roger, Yvonne, Judy and Dick.

Mary married our father David Lee Fricks on Halloween in 1963. They grew their love and family with children Holly, David, Heidi, Heather and Samantha. They had 13 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. They shared laughs, love and friendship and taught us all how to be good and loving people. Mary Jane was adventurous, mischievous and bursting at the seams to give out love. A devoted Catholic, Mary was also a loving wife, mom and grandma. In her free time, enjoyed spending time up north in Metz, riding golf carts through the mud, gardening, and crafting. She will be dearly missed.

Mary leaves to cherish her memory, husband, David Fricks, 5 children, Holly and Rich Longo David and Emily Fricks, Heidi Fricks, Heather and Tom Haden and Samantha Fricks and David Fletcher III: grandchildren, Richard and Meghan Longo, Marykathryn Longo, Samuel Longo, Sarah Longo, Jeremy Fricks, Austin and Andrea Fricks, Gillian and Alex Wang, Sabrina and Markian Shepta, Jessica Haden and Cory Muniz, Julia Haden, and Jordyn Haden, great grandchildren: Reagan, Averie, Oliver, Andrew, and Cooper. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson, Joah, and several brothers and sisters.

Family and friends may visit Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home Sunday, July 27, 2025, from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm and will conclude with a 6:00 pm Rosary. Funeral Mass will be on Monday, July 28, 2025, at 10:00 am at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church Waterford. Private Inurnment will be at All Saints Cemetery. Memorial donations may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association.
