Mary Katherine Schroeder

SCHROEDER, Mary Katherine; of Waterford; passed away peacefully on July 4, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 59.

Beloved wife of Eric for 39 years; cherished mother of Johneric (Cara) Schroeder, David (Katie) Schroeder, and Cameron (Cynthia) Schroeder; proud "Yaya" of Layla, Atticus, Amelia, Kaydence, Mary-Kate, Emerson, and Marick. Loving sister of John (Alexandra) Demopoulos, Ross (Megumi) Demopoulos, and Jason (Tiffany) Demopoulos. Preceded in death by her mother, Claudia Demopoulos. Mary will also be dearly missed by the family's golden retriever, Molly, and her beloved cat, Gemma.

A 1984 graduate of Kettering High School, Mary devoted much of her life to caring for children in the community, who affectionately knew her as "Mimi." She was the heart of every gathering, known for her warm hospitality and delicious cooking—there was always enough food and love to go around. Mary found joy in traveling, boating, and trips to the casino, but above all, she loved doting on her grandchildren. Her spirit, love, laughter and dance moves will always be remembered.

Visitation will take place at Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston, on Tuesday, July 8th from 3:00pm to 8:00pm.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 9th at 12:30pm, also at the funeral home.

Graveside service to follow at All Saints Cemetery, Waterford.

Casual attire requested as Mary would have wanted you to be comfortable.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Karmanos Cancer Institute .
