Matthew A. Dahl

DAHL, Matthew Anthony; of Clarkston; born October 2, 1995 in Pontiac; passed away suddenly on September 17, 2025 at the age of 29; husband of Elizabeth Heilig; son of Katie and Mike Dahl; brother of Paul (Amanda) Gunckle and Nick (Emily) Dahl; uncle of Elliott, Levi & Lucas; grandson of the late Mel & Ruth Larson and Mike & Karen Dahl; son in law of Irina Roshchina;

Matt graduated from Clarkston High School in 2014 where he played tennis and had attended Oakland University, where he met Elizabeth. He was a manager at Addison Oaks Oakland County Park.  Matt loved the outdoors and was an intellectual, and an avid reader, enjoying everything from poetry to philosophy. He was a skier, disc golfer, had an interest in art and all types of music and was exceptional at all racquet sports.  You could find him experimenting with coffees and teas as well as baking. Matt was a talented piano player, wonderful husband and enjoyed spending time with family, especially his pet guinea pigs.  He never stopped wanting to learn.
