Matthew Hicks

Matthew Clay Hicks, age 60, of Rochester Hills, passed away unexpectedly on July 25, 2023.

Matthew was born on August 30th, 1962 to Delbert and Jeanette Hicks in Saginaw, Michigan. At Swan Valley High School, he was on the ski and swimming team, a diver, and a manager on the football team. After he graduated from Swan Valley High School in 1980, he went on to study business administration at Central Michigan University.

Matt later started his career in the automotive industry, soon becoming an Automotive Executive. His work took him to South Africa, Sweden, Germany, Mexico, Brazil and Argentina.

Matt is survived by his daughters Amber and Faith Hicks, their mother Theresa, brothers Honorable Timothy (Molly) Hicks and Mark (Suzanne) Hicks. He was predeceased by his parents Delbert and Jeanette Hicks.

He will be remembered for being a son, a brother, a father, and a friend to many.

Memorial Service Saturday, August 5, 2023 at 10:00 am at the Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston where friends may visit Saturday 9:00 am until time of the service.

Memorials may be made to the Leader Dogs for the Blind of Rochester.
