Michael Joseph Donnellon, Sr.

DONNELLON, SR. Michael Joseph "Mike"; of Davisburg; passed away on June 18, 2025, at the age of 83. Beloved husband of Karen Donnellon; Loving father of Michael "Mike" (Connie) Donnellon, Ann (Pat) O'Harris, Jennifer (Ken) Farmer, and Elizabeth (P.J.) Kravetz; Proud grandfather to Lauren, David, Jeremy, Christopher, Ian, Zoe (Nial), and Benjamin (Kyra); Dear brother to David (Jeanette) Donnellon, Nancy Bowlby, Matt (Kathy) Donnellon, and Robert "Bobby" (Cathie) Donnellon. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents Leo and Bernice Donnellon, sister Mary Lou Wyer, and brother Larry Donnellon.

Born in Detroit, MI, Mike was the third of seven children to be born to Leo and Bernice. He grew up in the Precious Blood Parish. In 1954, his family moved to Royal Oak where they joined the St. Dennis Parish. He attended Shrine High School, graduating in 1960. Shortly after his graduation, he joined the Navy in 1961 and served until 1965. He married the love of his life, Karen, on May 13, 1966, and enjoyed 59 years of marriage together. In 1972, they moved to Clarkston, joining the St. Daniel Parish where they became very involved with the Church. He was also involved in the Ortonville Jaycees for many years, becoming a JCI Senator.

Mike joined the Knights of Columbus at age 21 but became an active member in the late 1970's. During the many years of volunteering with the Knights of Columbus, he served in many officer positions and roles within the organization and earned the highest degree Fourth Degree member. He served as the Grand Knight of the Clarkston Council 5436, was the Charter Grand Knight of the Divine Mercy Council 14883, continued his service as the Faithful Navigator in the fourth degree Msgr. AXM Sharpe Assembly 0447 and as the fourth degree Color Corp Commander for many formal occasions representing the Knights of Columbus.

Mike worked as an engineer and design leader at General Motors for over 30 years.  Aside from his work life and dedication to the Knights of Columbus, he loved RVing, golfing, canoeing, gardening, road tripping, traveling and most importantly spending time with his family. He has devoted countless hours of his life to volunteer work and never hesitated to help a family or friend in need. Mike was an Irish Blessing to all that had known him.

Friends may visit Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston on Tuesday, June 24th from 4:00pm- 8:00pm with a rosary at 7:00pm.

Funeral Mass at St. Daniel Catholic Church, Clarkston on Wednesday, June 25th at 10am. Friends may visit directly at the church after 9:30am

Interment All Saints Cemetery, Waterford.

In lieu of flowers, memorials made be made to American Heart Association , Alzheimer's Association , or Right to Life Michigan
