Michael J. Montgomery

MONTGOMERY, Michael J.; of Royal Oak; passed away on July 23, 2025, at the age of 76. Loving father of Kara Jonas, Jason (Breanna) Montgomery, and Brian (Jessica) Montgomery; grandfather of Stella Jonas, Margot Jonas, Landon Montgomery, Brooke Montgomery, Cash Montgomery, and Waylon Montgomery; brother of Barb and Carol (Ken); cousin of Larry (Geraldine) and Gale; preceded in death by his parents Jesse and Margaret Montgomery.

Michael enjoyed listening to the Beatles as well as the Woodward Dream Cruise. He also enjoyed genealogy and looking into family history. He loved photography as well as drawing. But most of all, he loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life for Michael will take place at a later date. Interment will be at Great Lakes National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Wounded Warriors Project . Please consider leaving a memory or condolence on Michael's online guestbook below.
