Michael J Pope

POPE, Michael of Clarkston, age 79 died on December 10, 2025.

Michael leaves his wife, Mary; his children, Kristi Pope, Jim (Julie) Pope and Kevin (Kara) Pope; his granddaughters, the late Nikki Pope, Allison, Emma and Charlotte Pope, and his sister, Julie Mason. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Victoria Pope, and his brothers, John and George Pope.

Michael worked for City of Pontiac as a Police Officer for 25 years. After retirement he worked as a General Manager in the steel industry, before returning to public service as a private investigator. He enjoyed playing golf and pool in his free time.

In accordance with Michael's wishes, cremation has taken place and services were entrusted to the Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home in Clarkston. A Celebration of Life will be announced later.

Memorial donations may be directed to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
