Nancy Ellen Cochran

Nancy Ellen Cochran, age 81, of Clarkston, passed away suddenly of natural causes on February 1, 2026. Born on June 29, 1944, in Pontiac, Michigan, to Irvin and Blanche Kitzmiller, Nancy dedicated her life to serving others as a registered nurse and continued her compassionate work through home healthcare.

She was a beloved member of Woodside Bible Church and attended services at the Troy Campus. Nancy cherished time spent traveling—especially with her family on cruises and international adventures. In 2024, she fulfilled a lifelong dream with a solo journey to Antarctica. An avid marathon runner, Nancy completed the Detroit Marathon and the Mackinac Bridge Marathon, inspiring those around her with her determination and adventurous spirit.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Cochran. She is survived by her children, Dawn (Larry) Zimmerman, Duane (Theresa) Cochran, and Michelle (Ronnie) Green; her grandchildren, Sabrina, Sean, Taylor, Dustin, Olivia, Sophia, Marissa, and Nico; and her great-grandchildren, Zayn, Hayes, Hazel, Harper, and Madyn. She is also remembered by her siblings, Beverly (the late Floyd) Miles, Gary (Marybeth) Kitzmiller, and Timothy (Nancy) Kitzmiller, along with many nieces and nephews.

Nancy's memory will live on in her love for the Detroit Tigers, her beautiful rose garden, her enjoyment of chocolate, and her passionate embrace of life's adventures. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Memorials may be made to Grace Centers of Hope or Woodside Bible Church, Troy.
