Neil Charles Hegle

HEGLE, Neil Charles; of Clarkston formerly of Ithaca; born in Alma on September 16, 1968; passed away suddenly on July 2, 2023 while vacationing at Maranatha Bible and Missionary Conference in Norton Shores, MI; age 54;

husband of Stephanie for 10 years; father of Benjamin & Daniel; son of Anna (Donald) Fry & the late Ted Hegle; son in law of Dr. Paul & Judy Wilson; brother of Gina (Stephen) Barnes; brother in law of Kimberly (Justin Paugh) Wilson- Paugh; uncle of Jacob (Maci) Barnes, Aaron (Skylar) Barnes, Hannah Barnes & Kensington Paugh; great uncle to many.

Neil graduated from the U.S. Air Force Police Academy and earned a Bachelor's Degree from Liberty University. He served the U.S. Marine Corps as Police Corporal and HMX-1 Marine One Presidential Security Guard, serving in Quantico, VA; Washington. D.C. and several locations within the U.S. and six foreign countries. Most currently, he specialized in Security & Operations Manager/ Risk & Threat Mitigation and  Emergency Response. Neil was a member of Woodside Bible Church and was very faithful. He enjoyed attending the Alma Highland Festival every year with his family and tubing with the boat. Neil loved people and will be remembered for being caring, thoughtful and sweet.

Friends may visit Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston on Tuesday, July 11th from 5:00pm-8:00pm.

Memorial Service Wednesday, July 12th at Woodside Bible Church, Troy at 11:00am with visiting directly at the church at 10:00am.

Private interment Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly.
