Nicola Grupido

GRUPIDO, Nicola "Nick"; born May 23, 1938 in Detroit to Domenico and Anna Grupido; of Ortonville formerly of White Lake; passed away on October 11, 2024 at the age of 86;

father of  Anna (Darin) Perrollaz, the late Kym Grupido & her husband Craig Grupido and Nick & his wife Barbara Grupido; grandpa of Dominique (Ryan) Davis, Kayla (Allen) Fujinaka, Tyler (Grant) Charlick, Riana (Rob) VanDette, Antonio Grupido, Santino (Starlyn) Grupido, Siera Grupido, Wenonah (late Jay Whitmer) Grupido, Shannon (Chris) Simonetti, Nicola (Carolina) Grupido III, Shane (Abby) McLaughlin, Chris Dant, Eryn Grupido and Christian McLaughlin; great grandpa of Rhett, Vesper, Colton, Gracie, Sawyer, Anastasia and Lil Baby boy due any day now; Nick was preceded in death by his siblings: Theresa Grupido and Larry (Leona) Grupido.

Nick served in the U.S. Marines and was a proud American. He owned/operated Guardian Electric in Ferndale. Nick was an outdoorsman who especially enjoyed hunting and fishing. He treasured time spent at the cabin in Harrison with his best friend/cousin Salvatore. One of his favorite trips was fishing in Alaska and found pleasure in a simple Pinochle card game.
