Paula Keels-Peters, of Clarkston, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2026, at the age of 70, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on December 8, 1955, in Pontiac, Michigan. Paula was the beloved wife of Michael Peters for 31 wonderful years. She was a devoted mother to Chris (Jenny) Keels and a loving stepmother to Kelle Ann (Jeremy) Carion-Parr and Kurt (Heather) Peters. Nothing brought Paula greater joy than being "Grandma" to Mitchell, Vaughn (Lillian), Elianna, Savannah, Lillian, Emma, Remi Ann, and Anika. She is also lovingly remembered by her siblings Diane (Craig) Collins, Christopher Green, Patricia Ellis, David (Kim) Green, Steven (Elizabeth) Green, and Stacia (Tim) Chrapek, along with many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
A 1974 graduate of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic School in Waterford, Paula dedicated 45 years to a successful career in real estate before retiring. She poured her heart into everything she did, whether helping clients, gathering family around the dinner table, or creating lasting memories with those she loved. Family was the center of Paula's life. She treasured time spent with her children and grandchildren, especially camping trips filled with laughter and togetherness. She was an incredible cook who never followed a recipe. Her kitchen was always open, making sure no one ever left hungry. Paula also had a passion for music and entertaining, which led her and Michael to spend many years bringing joy to others through DJ events. Her warmth, generosity, and ability to make every occasion special will be remembered by all who knew her. A Celebration of Life honoring Paula will be held on Tuesday, August 11, at 11:00 a.m. at the Pine Knob Carriage House, 5580 Waldon Road, Village of Clarkston, MI 48348. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
Paula's kindness, love, and unwavering devotion to her family leave behind a legacy that will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply loved, forever remembered, and greatly missed
