Robert Curtis Burns

BURNS, Robert Curtis; of White Lake; born January 29, 1931 in Troy, MI to Curtis and Thelma Burns; passed away on April 24, 2025 at the age of 94; Preceded in death in 2014 by his wife of 54 years, Joyce; father of Deborah Bankes, Jeff Burns and Brian (Lynette) Burns; grandpa of Lauren Bankes, Tom Bankes, Carly Burns and Riley Burns; Brother of Donald ( the late Connie) Burns, William (Kathy) Burns and the late Janice Willson;

Bob proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was Vice President of Auto Leasing.  He was treated lovingly like a family member by the staff at Neighborhoods of White Lake.

He enjoyed gardening, fishing and storytelling.  He and his stories will be greatly missed by his family.

A cemetery service with military honors will be Wednesday, April 30th at 10:30am at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly.  Services entrusted to Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Veterans Foundation or the American Cancer Society .
