Robert Brady Mooney

MOONEY, Robert Brady "Bob"; born May 21, 1953, in Lansing, Michigan; passed away on February 11, 2026, at the age of 72.

Beloved husband of Raeann for 43 years; loving father of Charles (Pamela) Mooney, Daniel (Jen) Mooney, and Emrae (Jenny) Mooney; proud grandfather of Robert Finn, Graham Gordon, and Ella Marie; and brother of Cathey (TJ) Studnicki. Preceded in death by parents Robert and Betty Mooney (Bill Strobel) and sister Sharon Kipfer.

Bob earned his bachelor's degree at Western Michigan University and then went on to earn his master's degree at Central Michigan University. From there, he dedicated 48 years of his life to the automotive engineering industry. Bob was incredibly proud of his work as an engineer.  He had the opportunity to work alongside both high-level leaders as well as those on the line, treating both levels of the profession with the same energy and genuine respect. He was a man of great integrity and work ethic; always the first one to arrive and the last to leave. Bob enjoyed the leadership aspect of his profession, working as a project director with many patents for his work, as well as enjoying the creativity of the craft. In his free time, Bob enjoyed photography, boating, wood working and being active outside whether walking his dog, Ozzie or washing his cars. He enjoyed hockey, coaching all his sons at some point, and taking on new business adventures like Photography by Bob and owning and running F-Stop Photography in Farmington Hills. Bob will be remembered as a hard-working man with unrelenting energy and drive who loved his family deeply. He will be dearly missed.
