Roger W. Olney

OLNEY, Roger William; of Clarkston; passed away peacefully on June 10, 2024; age 92.  Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Barbara and siblings, Barbara (late Robert) Clay and Virginia (late Fred) White.  Loving father of Patricia (Michael) Sheldon, Linda (late Michael) Allan, Lori Olney, Michael Olney, Mary (Grant) St. Amour, Carol Hendrix, and Becky (Edward) Matteson.  Proud grandpa of 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.  Dearest brother in law of Charles (late Ruth) Bartley and Michael Maas.  Also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Roger retired from Kroger's after 30+ years of faithful service. He was proud to serve in the United States Navy. Roger was a founding member of the Jaycees and Calvary Lutheran Church in Clarkston. He enjoyed golfing, boating, hunting up north in Cadillac, his dogs Rags and Sam, playing cards with friends but most importantly spending time with family.

Memorial Service will be Wednesday June 19, 2024 at 1pm at the Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston. Family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until the time of the service.
