Ruth Ann Lowe

Lowe, Ruth Ann "Rudie" of Clarkston, formerly of New York and Flint Michigan; passed away at home, July 21, 2024, at the age of 73. Born September 15, 1950, in Flint Michigan to Oscar Robert Lowe Sr and Alice Dean Lowe. Mother of Heidi Leiane Lowe.

Ms. Ruth Ann Lowe attended Flint Public Schools (Martin Elementary) and graduated from Flint Northern High school. She retired from Cabrini Medical Center New York, NY., as a Health IT Specialist. Ruth traveled to multiple states training Health Information Systems to health care providers. In addition, she oversaw technical aspects of managing patient health information. Her work affected the quality of care tremendously. She enjoyed and took pride in collaborating with other healthcare teams at hospitals in multiple states, improving dignity and driving outcomes.

Like her father "Rudie" is known as a music enthusiast. She enjoyed jazz and music uplifting to the heart and soul. Her second most loved leisured activity was traveling. She traveled frequently and widely around the world with her mother, daughter, and beloved friends. Ruth was passionate about traveling and exploring new destinations. China, Morocco, Mexico, St. Marteen, Jamaica, Barbados, Puerto Rico, and other global destinations. She also enjoyed fashion, dancing, roller skating and cooking, known for cooking her family heritage "Creole Dirty Rice" for family celebrations. In keeping with her roots, "Rudie" returned home to Michigan (2017) settling in Oakland County (Clarkston).

Ms. Ruth Ann Lowe leaves to cherish in her memory: daughter, Heidi Lowe of Clarkston; brother, Oscar Robert Lowe Jr. (Wanda) of Daytona Florida, niece, Leah Lucas (Daniel) of Florida and nephew, Phillip Lowe of Florida. A host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends across multiple states including New York, New Jersey, Florida and Atlanta. "Rudie" will always be remembered and loved by her family and friends.

Ms. Ruth Ann Lowe was preceded in death by her mother, Alice Dean Lowe and father Oscar Robert Lowe.

In respecting the wishes of the departed private family Home Going celebrations will be held in Flint Michigan (Flint Memorial Cemetery) and the Caribbean Island St. Marteen.
