SPEZIA, Ruth Ann; of Clarkston; born June 6th, 1945 in Detroit to Raphael and Eleanor Trombley; passed away with family by her side on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at the age of 79. Preceded in death less than 3 months ago by her devoted husband Ronald "Ron" Spezia, DDS; loving mother of David Spezia, Tina (Brian) Galley and Lori (Charlie) Reibling; adored grandma of Ryan, Charlie, Nicholas, Samantha and Ali; dear sister of the late Gerald (Terry) Trombley, the late Mary (the late Denny) Cichon, Jeanne (Ken) Huggett, the late Lois (Tom) Szydlek, the late Raymond (Kathy) Trombley, the late Edward Trombley, Roger (Mary) Trombley and Carolyn (the late Wally) Rutkowski.
Ruth was raised in Detroit and graduated from Regina High School where she made many lifelong friends. She had an idyllic childhood with her 8 brothers and sisters. She would tell stories of all the fun they had like spending hours dancing in their kitchen while they washed dishes after dinner. She met her husband Ron at a wedding and they went on to raise 3 children in Shelby Township. Ruth became a travel agent and they spent many years exploring new places and had many great adventures. She spent summers in Lexington on Lake Huron and winters in South Carolina. Ruth was very social, always smiling and never had a bad word to say about anyone. Through the years she enjoyed golfing, cards, and "wine time!" Some people collect things, but she collected friends. She loved everyone and everyone loved her! She lit up the room! She had the most compassionate heart and went out of her way to help anyone in need. She loved music and was dancing to her favorite songs up until her last days. But her biggest love was her family. She will always be remembered as a shining example to live life with love, kindness, compassion and to always laugh and have fun!
In accordance with Ruth's wishes, cremation has taken place.
