Ryan W. Gilbert

GILBERT, Ryan W.; of Bluffton, South Carolina formerly of Ortonville and Clarkston; passed away surrounded by family on May 21, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer; age 49;

husband of Tonya (nee Betts); father of Kirsten ( H. Jacob Foster) Gilbert, Natalie (fiancé Alik Thomas) Gilbert and Peyton (Mikayla) Gilbert; also survived by many other family members and friends.

Ryan graduated from Brandon High School in 1991 and worked as a millwright. He loved the ocean, especially fishing/crabbing and spending time on the beach. He was a jokester and called the family Frenchton dog, Crüe, his grandbaby. Ryan was an avid University of Michigan fan; all are requested to wear U of M attire on Wednesday.

Friends may visit Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston on Wednesday, May 24th at 11:00am with a funeral service at 12:30pm. Services will be livestreamed/ posted on the funeral home website.

Graveside service to follow at Ortonville Cemetery, Ortonville.
