Sara Hedtler

HEDTLER, Sara; of Clarkston, MI; born November 17, 1926, in Monterrey, Mexico to the late Daniel and Sara Saldivar; passed away on May 12, 2025, at the age of 98. Beloved wife of the late John Hedtler. Loving mother of Robert (Jill) Hedtler and the late John Hedtler and Daniel Hedtler. Also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

After living, working and raising her children in Farmington, Michigan for 20 years, Sara retired from Hudson's, now known as Macy's where she was a top sales representative working in the cosmetics department. In 1985 Sara and husband John moved to Brownsville, Texas and enjoyed many years of retirement in warmth and sunshine.  Sara found great joy in gardening and spending time outside. Gardening was much more than a hobby - it was a passion. In fact, she could identify nearly any plant or flower by sight. She also took pleasure in decorating her home, welcoming family and friends for extended visits. She was an inspiration to many maintaining her good health by attending exercise classes well into her 80s. Sara moved back to Michigan in 2022 after John, her husband of 76 years passed away. She will be dearly missed.
