BUCZEK, Sherry C.; of Waterford formerly of Oxford; born July 9, 1944 in Detroit to Chester and Grace Cyrol; passed away November 16, 2025 at the age of 81;

Wife of Jerry for 60 years; mother of Patricia (Randall) Cox, Catherine (Paul) Siersma, Theresa (Jon) Winowiski and Gwendolyn (Bryan) Hoskinson; Nana of 9: Noah, Adam, Eleonor, Willem, Griffin, Jacob, Joseph, Mila and Madelyn; sister of Tina Russette and Regena Purdon; preceded in death by her parents.

Sherry graduated from Mercy High School in Detroit, earned a Bachelor's degree from Mercy College and a Master's degree from Oakland University. She was an elementary teacher at Holy Family Catholic Elementary School, Rochester and retired from Bemis Elementary School, Troy. Sherry enjoyed spending time at their second home in Dunedin, Florida and was a dedicated fan at her grandchildren's events. She was an avid reader and member of book clubs. She stayed connected to her friends by being active with her sorority and enjoyed card making and scrapbooking. Sherry and Jerry traveled globally and appreciated many beautiful sunsets in their marriage.

Friends may visit Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston on Thursday, November 20 from 3:00pm-8:00pm.

Funeral Mass Friday, November 21 at 10:00am at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church, Waterford where friends may visit directly at the church at 9:30am.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Michigan Animal Rescue League .
