Sherry Lynn Carpenter

CARPENTER, Sherry Lynn; of Holly, formerly of Clarkston; born August 9, 1957, in Royal Oak, passed away on December 9, 2025, at the age of 68.

Preceded in death by husband Ricky N. Carpenter, parents Franklin and Edith Miller, and brother Stephen Miller. Mother of Shannon (Jesse) Hogue and Kelly (Rob) Johns. Grandmother of Isaac Hogue, Katelyn Hogue, Teague Johns, and Addison Johns. Sister of Julie (Micheal) DeVries and John (Mary) Miller. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Sherry was a bus driver for Clarkston Schools, who dearly loved "her kids" for 33 years, retiring in 2022.

In her free time, she enjoyed making jewelry, gardening and tending to her fishpond, and quilting. She was also an avid movie fan. Most importantly, Sherry dearly loved her family and will be truly missed!

Friends may visit Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston on Sunday December 14, 2025, from 4:00 pm-8:00 pm. Funeral service Monday December 15, 2025, at 12:30 pm at the Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston w ith visiting after 12 noon. Private Interment at Hillview Cemetery, Clarkston.
