Stanley Harris Darling

DARLING, Stanley Harris; of Clarkston, previously of Lansing and Highland Park; passed away on June 25, 2024, at the age of 92.  Preceded in death by his parents Stanley I and Ann E. (Harris) Darling, as well as, his first wife Joanna (Raynor) Darling and his second wife Anne (Robinson Clark) Darling.  Loving father of Julie (Frank) Barrett and Steven (Michele) Darling; Stepfather of Roxanne (the Late Neil) Mullaney and Jennifer (Dale) Matkovich; grandfather of Jessica (Mike Musleh) Barrett, Michael Barrett, Douglas Darling, Seth Matkovich, and Caleb Matkovich; great grandfather of Cohen Musleh, Brynlee Musleh, and Kayla Musleh; brother of the late Lynn Darling and the late JoAnn (Jim) Bastin Sr.; uncle of Jill Klundt (Bill) and the Late Jim Bastin Jr.

Stanley was Senior Class President of Highland Park High School, proudly served his country with the First Marine Division in Korea, then served his community with Highland Park Fire Department from 1954-1956, before going into accounting and working as business manager for Clarkston Schools 1974-1982 and Lansing Schools 1982 until his retirement.

A Memorial Service will be held for Stanley on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at 2pm at the Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston. Family and friends may arrive any time after 1pm. A Cemetery Service will take place immediately after, at 3pm, at Lakeview Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital .
