Sylvia Odellia Cervantes-Weedon

CERVANTES-WEEDON, Sylvia Odellia; of Tawas; passed away on July 23, 2024, at the age of 80. Mother of Antoinette (Mark), Ann (Dave), Richard (Carolyn), and Charlene; grandmother of Kristina (Jose), Joshua (Lauren), Salvador, David, Richie (Kate), Vinny (Abby), Sidney, and Craig; great grandmother of Joseph, Mia, Jaxson, Lincoln, Elliana, Kataleya, and Nora; a great great grandmother of 4; sister of George, David, Lupe (Bill), Valentina (Chris), and Christina (Mike); preceded in death by her husband Chuck Weedon and her parents Salvador and Angela Cervantes.

Sylvia was a pioneer. She was strong-willed and an even stronger faith in the Lord. And she was always unafraid to speak her mind. Many knew her as an amazing artist who would often paint and draw. She loved music, especially the Beatles, Journey, Sting, and oldies. But most importantly, Sylvia loved her family and her grandchildren. She was loved by many and will be missed by all.

A Visitation for Sylvia will take place on Tuesday, July 30th from 4pm to 8pm at the Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston. A Rosary Service will be held Wednesday the 31st at 10am. Friends and family may arrive any time after 9am. A Private Interment will be held at Sims-Whitney Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of Refuge Church .
