OSTRAND, Terry Sue, of Davisburg, passed away on June 5, 2026, at the age of 70.
Born on October 20, 1955, in Pontiac, Michigan, to Francisco and Joyce Rodriguez, Terry lived a life defined by love, resilience, creativity, and generosity.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Ostrand.
Terry was the devoted mother of Devyn Galea and John Ryan Ostrand; cherished grandmother of Isabella, John Axel, and Avery Lee; loving sister of Austin (Kirk) Greenberg and Frank (Felicia) Rodriguez; and their daughter Sophia. In addition to her immediate family, Terry leaves behind many beloved relatives and friends who will miss her dearly. She is also survived by her loving companion, Dwite Hill.
Terry will be remembered for her kindness, thoughtfulness, generosity, strength, stubbornness, and deep love for others. Her favorite way to show that love was through food, and she never believed there could be such a thing as too much. Family gatherings were filled with overflowing dishes, full plates, and the comfort of knowing everyone was cared for.
Creative and crafty by nature, Terry enjoyed making beautiful things with her hands. She grew up training and showing horses and carried a lifelong love of animals, though snakes were the notable exception. She loved music and could often be found be-bopping around the kitchen with her grandchildren, creating memories they will carry with them forever.
Terry faced many challenges throughout her life, yet she met them with determination and perseverance. She fought a good fight, and after a life marked by both hardship and love, she is finally at peace and able to rest.
An outdoor 'Celebration of Life' Potluck will be held at her home in Davisburg on June 20th at 1:00 p.m.
In honor of Terry's love of sharing food and gathering with family and friends, guests are invited to bring a dish to pass. Please label all food items for those with allergies or dietary restrictions, including vegetarian guests.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston.
Interment will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly.
Memorial donations may be made to the family for the education of her grandchildren.
Those wishing to do so are encouraged to leave a memory or condolence in the online guestbook.
To everyone who loved her, thank you.
