BRAUNAGEL, Thomas Jeffery "Jeff"; of Clarkston; born November 11, 1943 in Pontiac to Wendelin and Carrie Braunagel; passed away on April 15, 2026 at the age of 82.
Brother of Mary (Rennie) Saigeon; Uncle of Dean (Teresa) Saigeon and Dan (Delia) Leaf and sons.
Great Uncle of Danielle (Aneesh) Thomas and their son J.D.
Preceded in death by his parents, his sister Roberta (late Bill) Bennett and his brother Donald (Yolanda) Braunagel.
Jeff graduated from Pontiac Northern High School and earned a bachelor's degree from Oakland University. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War as a Sergeant. He earned many medals, including Vietnam Service Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Medal, Sharpshooter, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Army Achievement Medal and Army Commendation Medal. He was very patriotic and was a member of the American Legion Campbell-Richmond Post 63.
Jeff was an avid sports fan. He was an athlete who played football in high school and a downhill skier. He appreciated classic cars, which was enriched by his career as a General Motors District Sales Manager.
Jeff will be remembered for his caring personality; he dearly loved his family and took care of his Mom after his Dad passed away. He also loved animals, especially his cats, Dookie and Jamocha.
Friends may visit Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston on Tuesday, April 21st at 11:30am followed by a funeral at 12:30pm (livestreamed).
Military Honors will conclude at the funeral home. Luncheon to follow.
Private cemetery service Christian Memorial Cemetery, Rochester.
Memorials may be made to MI Humane Society or American Cancer Society .
