Walter Grimminger

GRIMMINGER, Walter of Clarkston; passed away at home, under his iconic self-portrait, surrounded by his loving family, on September 23, 2026 at the age of 79. Beloved husband of Suzanne for 55 years. Loving father of Kris Gimminger and Jessie Grimminger. Proud grandfather of Jacob and Kaylie. Preceded in death by his parents Franz and Maria Grimminer and his siblings, Rose Marie (late Herman) Schweinle and Franz “Frank” (Maria) Grimminger.

Walter retired from General Motors. He enjoyed working at Hobby Lobby in the framing department after retirement. He was a well-respected artist and teacher.

Family and Friends may visit at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church, Waterford, Michigan on Monday, September 28th from 9:30 am until time of the Funeral Mass at 10:00 am.

Memorials may be made to Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church.
