Woodrow D. Smith

SMITH, Woodrow D.; “Doug; of Arvada, CO formerly of Hazel Park, MI;

Born March 21, 1937, to Alonzo and Hannah Smith in Morehead, KY; passed away on August 28, 2026, at the age of 89.

Preceded in death by his wife Norma Jean Smith and his daughter Debbie Etlinger. Father of Harold (Sara) Smith, Tina (Gary) Ferrell and Patricia Harrington.

Also survived by 8 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren

Brother of Arnold, Glady's, Colbert, Darris, and Ruth, all who preceded him.

Woodrow retired from Bankas after several years there. Prior to that, he worked for most of his career at 11 Mile Collision in Madison Heights and helped to open the Truck Frame and Body shop.

He will be remembered for his kindness to others.

Friends may visit Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston on Sunday, September 13th at 2:00pm with a funeral at 3:00pm.

Interment Tuesday, September 15th at 1:00pm in Jones Cemetery, Ophir, KY.
