Rosella was born in Charlotte, Michigan, the daughter of Clifford and Myrtle McIntyre. She and her older sister, Lois, spent their elementary years at The Hovey School, a one room schoolhouse. Graduating in 1942 from Charlotte High School she was active in the marching band, played the violin and acted in the high school theatre group. Rosella graduated from St. Lawrence School of Nursing and became a registered nurse working in pediatrics for many years.
On June 19, 1948, married William L. Treanor and moved to Waterford, Michigan and together they raised 6 children. Rosella was a longtime member of St. Benedict and St. Perpetua parishes. She was active with the Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Brownies and on behalf of the Archdiocese of Detroit was awarded the St. Anne Medal from the Archdiocese of Detroit for her leadership with the Girl Scouts. This medal affirms the work of those who help youth develop their spiritual lives.
Rosella volunteered many hours of her time at church and school events supporting and encouraging her family's academic and extra-curricular interests. Rosella enjoyed a rich life. She was an avid reader and loved to travel. Her interests also included music, gardening, art, painting, and ceramics.
Rosella was an active member in the Waterford Garden Club a local branch of the Women's National Farm and Garden Association.
She remained deeply connected to the friends she made from her early school days, nurses training and the nurses she worked with and enjoyed any reason to get together including her annual alumni association events.
Rosella enjoyed her large extended family which included in-laws, many nieces, nephews, neighbors, and friends. Not a sporting event, school play, music, dance recital or special event, honors banquet or graduation was missed. She was devoted, our #1 fan!!! Her greatest joy was the time spent surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
"Your life was blessing, your memory a treasure. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure"
